🇮🇹 Dua Lipa joins Lewis Capaldi as special guest performers for Sanremo 2020?

For the sixth consecutive year, RAI will offer the winning act of the 2020 Sanremo Music Festival the opportunity to represent Italy at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. As we get closer to the beginning of the week-long festival, RAI has reportedly announced two international guest performers: Dua Lipa and Lewis Capaldi.

Something for everybody

It is traditional for the Sanremo Music Festival to feature numerous special guests, both from Italy and beyond. For example, last year Tom Walker and Luis Fonsi were amongst more than 25 special guests from the worlds of music, acting, comedy and fashion.

Dua Lipa joins the line-up

For the 2020 edition of the festival, Sanremo artistic director Amadeus has seemingly announced two international music star guests so far. Lewis Capaldi was reportedly confirmed as a special guest back on December 11th. As announced in a press conference today, Kosovo-born Dua Lipa will definitely be taking to the Sanremo stage. It is currently expected that Dua will perform on the fourth of the five shows, taking place nightly between February 4th and February 8th.

Undoubtedly, Dua Lipa will take advantage of the show to promote her upcoming “Future Nostalgia” tour which will travel to Italy in late April. The name of the tour is taken from the name of her second album, due out this Spring, which features the hit single “Don’t Start Now”.

Sanremo begins on February 4th

The 2020 Sanremo Music Festival will feature 24 entries, including entries from previous Italian Eurovision representatives Raphael Gualazzi and Francesco Gabbani. You can read all about this year’s Sanremo line-up by clicking below:
