Denmark confirm participation in Eurovision 2019

Confirmations for Eurovision 2019 are rolling in. Danish broadcaster DR have confirmed to ESCToday that Denmark will be participating at Eurovision 2019 in Israel.

Denmark has traditionally used their national selection Dansk Melodi Grand Prix to select their Eurovison entry. They are expected to continue this tradition, with DR to reveal details on submissions at a later date.

Can Denmark make it four wins at Eurovision?

Denmark debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957, with three wins to date. Grethe & Jorgen Ingmann in 1963,  Olsen Brothers in 2000 and Emmelie de Forest in 2013.

In 2018 the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix was won by Rasmussen with the song ‘Higher Ground’. The Viking inspired track was a success in Lisbon, placing 9th in the Grand Final, thanks in part to being 5th with televoters.
