The broadcaster responsible for the Azerbaijani representative in the Eurovision Song Contest, iTV have opened up their submission process for a song.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2020 will take place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands after Duncan Laurence won with the song “Arcade” ending their 44 year wait for a win.
A tale of two processes.
According to Azerbaijani fan blog 12 xal, the process in choosing the singer and the process to chose the song will be independent from each other. So the submission process for the songs is for the song alone. The process in choosing the singer is a separate process that will be conducted by iTV themselves. So the song and the singer will be matched up at a later date.
iTV have said that composers and musicians must submit two files to the delegation and that being the lyrics and an mp3 file for the song to [email protected]
