Yesterday, the BBC filmed a very special edition of popular quiz show “Pointless” at Elstree Studios in London. Yes, it was for a new Eurovision special of the show and it is starring Eurovision artists from the UK and beyond!
The Eurovision Pointless celebrities are…
According to users on Twitter and Facebook that attended the filming of the show, the four teams participating for their chosen charities were:
- Dana (Ireland 1970) & SuRie (United Kingdom 2018)
- John Lundvik (Sweden 2019) & Jade Ewen (United Kingdom 2009)
- Måns Zelmerlöw (Sweden 2015) & Niamh Kavanagh (Ireland 1993 and 2010)
- Mike Nolan & Jay Aston (United Kingdom 1981)
Whilst the line-up is yet to be fully confirmed by the BBC, Måns confirmed his appearance via his Instagram story (see featured image) whilst John and Jade both confirmed their appearance with an Instagram post which you can see below!
You may also remember that co-host of “Pointless”, Richard Osman, was the UK’s Eurovision spokesperson for the 2016 contest in Stockholm!
To air on May 16th?
The air date of the special is yet to be announced. However, based on when the BBC aired previous Eurovision specials of “Pointless”, we expect it will be on the evening of the grand final, on May 16th!
