ERT’s announcement for the artist to represent Greece at the upcoming Eurovision 2020 is now a matter of days, as almost all procedural / legal issues have been resolved.
Our Eurovision partners at EurovisionFun had recently been in contact with the Greek Head of Delegation and Director of ERT International Relations, Maria Koufopoulou. In regards to when the official announcement of the broadcast will occur, Maria said:
We hope that by early February we will be ready for the announcement!

Ms Koufopoulou’s statement also confirms our earlier report on ERT’s announcement about the artist who will represent Greece in Rotterdam, and according to EurovisionFun who is in close contact with Greek broadcaster, all procedural and legal issues are almost resolved, plus the song which has been recorded and finalized.
The song is described as a dance-pop song with a rap beat, but incoporates the Greek sound in it’s instrumentation as it includes musical instruments such as the continental bagpipe, the zurnas and the violin.
As mentioned earlier in a series of articles, the Greek flag at the 65th Eurovision Song Contest will be raised by Stefania with a song by Dimitris Kontopoulos / ARCADE, and lyrics by Sharon Vaughn, directed by Fokos Evangelinos.
