I am very much looking forward to it. It (the Melodi Grand Prix) has been one thing that I have been thinking for some years: “It could be fun, I would like it”. So I’m looking forward to it!

Ben & Tan met during the Danish version of The X Factor. They were selected to the final from the Eastern Denmark. The rising stars were very excited to have qualified to the final.

I’ve been sobbing all day, I haven’t slept all night, I’ve had a really bad stomach, I’ve been so nervous. Now I just have to go home and sleep!

Ben & Tan’s song “Yes” is written by Emil Lei, Jimmy Jansson and Linnea Deb. Next to competing in Denmark, Jimmy Jansson also has songs in Sweden and Norway this year. Linnea Deb won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 as one of the songwriters for Måns Zelmerlöw’s “Heroes”.

Sander Sanchez won the semifinal of Northern Denmark. The songwriters behind Sander’s song have a lot of experience on Eurovision. The songwriters of the song are Jonas Thander, Liam Craig and Christopher Wortley. Jonas Thander has previously co-written United Kingdom’s 2019 entry “Bigger than Us” and Lithuania’s 2016 entry “I’ve Been Waiting for This Night”.

It’s crazy to know that I’m on to the final. It’s mega cool to have worked so hard on something and given themselves so much and that people then liked it.
