Five artists have pre-qualified to the final of Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix 2020 without having to compete in the semifinals. Today third of the songs, Akuvi’s “Som du er” was released.

The song is written by Beatrice Akuvi Kumordzie and Andreas Stone and produced by Costa Leon and Amin Zana. Andreas Stone has written several songs to national selections over the Europe. His most recent song to take part in Eurovision was “Too Late for Love” in 2019.
25-year-old Akuvi has Norwegian-Ghanaian background. She found her soundscape on a four-year journey in South Africa, where she studied peace, conflicts and religion. After releasing her album “Unfinished Business” in 2019, she also got the chance to tour South Africa and perform in their breakfast show with around ten million viewers watching.
Akuvi’s sister Anna-Lisa took part in Melodi Grand Prix in 2019 and finished fourth with the song “Holla“.
Melodi Grand Prix 2020
