
Speaking on ร3-Wecker, Cesรกr Sampson has announced that he will be returning to the Eurovision Song Contest this year, but not as a singer. Cesรกr previously represented Austria at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon, where he finished in 3rd place.

Speaking to the presenters of the morning show on ร3-Wecker, Cesรกr announced that he will be involved in the production of one of the competing entries at the 2020 contest in Rotterdam. However, he did not reveal which country’s entry he was involved in. He did confirm that he was not involved in either the Austrian or German entries.
Apart from when he represented Austria in 2018, Cesรกr has been involved in two Eurovision entries, both for Bulgaria. In 2016 and 2017, he was a backing singer for both Poli Genova and Kristian Kostov for their entries, “If Love Was a Crime” and “Beautiful Mess”.
Cesรกr released his first single of 2020 on Friday, titled “Lazy Suit”. You can hear his new single below:
Cesรกr Sampson in Eurovision 2018
In Lisbon in 2018, Cesรกr Sampson represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest. He performed the song “Nobody But You”. At the close of voting, Austria finished in 3rd place – only their third top 3 finish to date.
Austria won the jury voting, however they only finished in 13th place with the televoting meaning that they had to settle for 3rd place behind Israel’s Netta and Cyprus’ Eleni Foureira.
Austria swept the boards with the juries receiving nine sets of “12 points” from Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, Iceland, Israel, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and the United Kingdom.
