A late approach
Leyla Quliyeva, Azerbaijan’s Head of Delegation, was featured on a breakfast television program to inform everyone about their plans for Eurovision 2020 in Rotterdam.
Although according to Quliyeva many people complained in the past that Azerbaijan’s entries are not written by Azerbaijani songwriters, she confirmed that no one gets excluded. Anyone who wishes to can submit a song to the broadcaster, Azerbaijani as well as foreign songwriters.
“We didn’t put any restrictions on songs. What they need to do is only send a demo version of a song. You may even be an amateur or maybe even a hit maker. It doesn’t matter, just send us your work.”
How can you enter?
If you are interested in sending your song to the Azerbaijani delegation, do the following: Send your song in mp3 form and the lyrics to [email protected], along with information about yourself. The submission window is open until February 7. After then, iTV will internally select their entry for Eurovision 2020.
