This afternoon the first semi-final of the Polish national final “Szansa Na Sukces” took place and we have a result. Kasia Deren will go forward to the final to have the chance to represent Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. The contest will take part in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
The national final “Szansa Na Sukces” is organised by the Polish broadcaster TVP, who are responsible for the Polish delegation in the Eurovision Song Contest.
What is Szansa Na Sukces
“Szansa Na Sukces” was used as the selection format for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The winner was Viki Gabor who sang the song “Superhero”. She went on to win the contest in Glewice on home turf, the first instance of a home win in JESC and the first time a home nation won any Eurovision event since Ireland won in 1994.
