Eurovision 2020🇷🇴 Romania

🇷🇴 Artist presentation next Tuesday, songs out on February 21

Five songs, one artist

UPDATE: Unlike previously reported, we will know who will represent the country in Eurovision 2020 on Tuesday, February 11th during the episode of Destinaţia Eurovision.

According to their Head of Delegation, Liana Stanciu, Romania will present their artist for Eurovision 2020 on next Monday, February 10th. The five songs competing in the selection will be out on February 21st.

Who will represent Romania?

Romania’s national broadcaster TVR has selected their artist internally this year. The search was done in collaboration with Romanian record label Global Records.

The artist will be presented on February 10th. Before that, TVR will air a special documentary series of the songwriting camp, where Romanian composers and artists wrote songs for the chosen artist. The first episode of the program Destinaţia Eurovision is now available on YouTube.

The chosen artist will perform five songs in the final of the selection. The winner will be selected by Romanian public together with a jury made up of music professionals. The five songs will be out on February 21st and the final will take place on March 1st.
