Tonight Söngvakeppnin 2020 finally started! The first semi-final took place in Reykjavik’s Háskólabíó. Five acts competed, and the top two qualified for the grand final. The final will take place in Laugardlshöll on 29 February.

- Elta þig – Elísabet
- Augun þín – Brynja Mary
- Klukkan tifar – Ísold og Helga
- Almyrkvi – DIMMA
The result of the semi-finals this year is in the hands of the Icelandic people, as it’s determined by 100% televote.
