🇲🇹 Destiny Chukunyere dedicates X Factor Malta win to her late grandfather

Last weekend saw Junior Eurovision 2015 winner, Destiny Chukunyere, win The X Factor Malta, which means she will represent her home country in Rotterdam this year. Following on from her victory, she has spoken about her experience on the show.

A dream since the beginning

Destiny’s win last Saturday has been dedicated to her late grandfather, who passed away in 2018. Destiny has said that if he was still with her, he would have wanted her to do well.

Destiny is now working with producers and songwriters on her entry for Eurovision 2020 in the Netherlands.

I’m especially happy that the people of Malta and Gozo chose me to represent Malta in Eurovision. It’s a beautiful moment when you know that you’ve got the people’s trust

Thank God for all the people who supported me because without you I wouldn’t have made it this far. I still get emotional thinking about it

Malta in Eurovision 2020

Destiny Chukunyere will represent Malta in The Netherlands this year following her win on The X Factor Malta.

Destiny is certainly no stranger to the contest, as she won Junior Eurovision back in 2015 with “Not My Soul”, and performed as a backing vocalist for Michela Pace last year in Israel.

Two years on from her Junior Eurovision win, she entered Britain’s Got Talent and finished 6th in the semi-final.
