London Eurovision Party

Blas Cantó brings his Universo to LEP 2020!

The Spanish representative is our second 2020 performer to take to the stage!

Representing Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, Blas Cantó will also attend the London Eurovision Party to preview his entry “Universo” in front of the UK fans!

No stranger to Eurovision

The Spanish artist is no stranger to the Eurovision Song Contest having previously been a member of pop group Auryn, who competed in the pre-selection for Eurovision 2011. They were runners-up to Lucia Peréz with their entry “Volver”.

In fact, the Eurovision journey started even earlier for Blas Cantó. Aged just 13, in 2004 he competed in the Spanish selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Sentir”. He proceeded to the grand final but ultimately lost out to eventual JESC winner, María Isabel.

Since becoming a solo artist, success has again followed for Blas Cantó. In 2017, he was nominated for Best New Artist at LOS40 Music Awards. In both 2017 and 2018, he was nominated for Video of the Year before achieving a nomination in the Album of the Year category in 2019 for his most recent release, Complicado.
