Benidorm Fest 2023 songs to be released on 19 December

Mark your calendars! RTVE have announced that all Benidorm Fest 2023 songs will drop on Monday 19th December.

Following an impressive amount of submissions for the Spanish national final, that number was reduced to 18 last month.

The semi-finalists feature a few familiar names. Such as Alfred García, who represented Spain in Eurovision 2018 alongside Amaia. In addition, Agoney and Famous have previously participated in the Operación Triunfo programme.

Furthermore, a press conference held by RTVE will take place on the same day the songs are released. This will feature all 18 artists, who may have the opportunity to talk about their entries in more detail.

  • Blanca Paloma – “Eaea”

  • Fusa Nocta – “Mi familia”
  • José Otero – “Inviernos en Marte”
  • Karmento – “Quiero y duelo”
  • Megara – “Arcadia”
  • Meler – “No nos moverán”
  • Rakky Ripper – “Tracción”
  • Sharonne – “Aire”
  • Siderland – “Que esclati tot”
  • Sofía Martín – “Tuki”

Across the 2 semi-finals and grand final, the voting will consist of a professional jury (50%), demoscopic jury (25%) and public televoting (25%). The semi-finals take place on 31 January and 2 February, before 8 artists will compete to represent Spain in the grand final on 4 February.

The shortlisted artists have until 28 November to submit the final versions of their songs.

Spain in Eurovision 2022

Earlier this year, Chanel won the inaugural Benidorm Fest in what was one of the most hotly contested and strongest national finals of the season. From then on, she captured the nation and fans worldwide to become one of the favourites to take the Eurovision crown in Turin. During the contest, “SloMo”, finished in 3rd place with 459 points. The biggest ever points total for Spain and their best result since 1995.
