🇺🇦 Ukraine: Vidbir final televoting percentages released

GO_A won with over 1/4 of the televotes!

Last night, Ukraine chose its representatives for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. The winner set to fly the Ukrainian flag in Netherlands this year is Go_A! They managed to win with a perfect score from both the jury and the televote (16/16). Now, UA:PBC have released the televoting percentages.

This Saturday saw the six finalists of Vidbir 2020 compete for their chance at the Ukrainian ticket to Rotterdam for Eurovision 2020. Half of the votes came from the jury – Andrii Danylko (better known as Verka Serduchka), Tina Karol and Vitalii Drozdov. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian public provided the other half via televoting.

Earlier this week, we wrote an article providing the full jury voting and televoting statistics for both semi finals. In our accompanying prediction video, we labeled KHAYAT and GO_A the eventual runner-up and winner, as potential ‘upsetters’ of the winners of the semis (TVORCHI and GO_A).

Now, find the full voting with the voting percentages included below.

Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest

Ukraine has competed in the contest fifteen times, winning twice and regularly featuring in the top ten – becoming a modern Eurovision powerhouse for songs and exceptional staging. To date, Ukraine remains one of two participating countries who have always qualified for the final.

While initially set to compete in last year’s contest in Tel Aviv, the country withdrew after controversy surrounding the winner of Vidbir 2019. MARUV won the national final with ‘Siren Song’ but was unable to agree the terms of the contract set by UA:PBC. The broadcaster was also unable to reach agreement with any of the other artists to participate either, forcing a withdrawal.
