If you’re in Sweden this summer and want to get back into the Eurovision spirit, RIX FM Festival is the place to go! Their festival lineup includes many familiar Eurovision names – and plenty of Melodifestivalen stars.
RIX FM Festival
RIX FM Festival is an annual festival arranged by RIX FM, a radio station. Since its formation in 2000, many big names have performed at the festival, including superstars like Pink, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna.
Seeing as the festival is hosted in Sweden, plenty of Eurovision and Melodifestivalen participants have also been a part of the event.
Performers
While RIX FM is yet to announce the full lineup, there’s already plenty of familiar names. This year’s runner up Eleni Foureira will perform, as will Swedish participant Benjamin Ingrosso. Furthermore, Jessica Andersson – one half of Fame (Sweden 2003) – will perform as well. Another artist with Eurovision connections is Darin, who was one of the interval acts in 2013.
Melodifestivalen fans will also recognize performers like Danny Saucedo, Felix Sandman, Molly Sandén (a former Junior Eurovision participant), Mendez, Liamoo, Martin Almgren, Anton Hagman, John Lundvik, Wiktoria, and Polish star Margaret.
Dates
The festival will visit 12 cities spanning across Sweden. However, keep in mind that it is not yet known which artists will perform at which dates. So if you plan on attending, make sure you keep an eye out for the full lineup!
