🇪🇪 Eesti Laul 2021 Semi-Finals to be held with no audience

As we get closer to the start of Eesti Laul 2021, ERR has revealed more information about this year’s competition. Eesti Laul will follow suit with other National Finals and have confirmed that there will be no audience in its Semi-Finals on February 18 and 20. It is yet to be determined if there will be an audience for the Final on the 6th March.

However, there will be a twist. ERR has confirmed that all shows will be held on Saku Suurhall (the venue for Eurovision 2002), which usually only just holds the final of Eesti Laul.

‘Giving all semi-finalists a great stage experience and at the same time ensure the safety of both the artists and the show team

In the era of COVID-19, Social Distancing is important. By using a bigger venue for all of the shows, this will allow the production to be done in a safely manner:

“In the large hall of Saku Suurhall, it is much easier for us to follow the safety requirements associated with such a large production.

Initially, it was planned to hold the Semi-Finals at ETV Studios, and have a lock-in production, with all of the artists and production. However, this would have caused issues for other ETV programs and its employees.
