🇳🇱 Jeangu Macrooy’s Eurovision entry “Grow” released on NPO Radio 2

The host country's entry is here!

Jeangu Macrooy was internally selected to represent the host country The Netherlands in Rotterdam. Today his entry “Grow” got its first play on NPO Radio 2.

UPDATE: The song got played for the first time today on NPO Radio 2 and the radio station tweeted a video of the song. The tweet got later deleted. The music video will premiere on the official YouTube channel today at 19:15 CET.

Who is Jeangu Macrooy?

Jeangu was born in 1993 in Paramaribo, Suriname. He comes from a musical family and previously sang in a band Between Towers with his twin brother.

He moved to the Netherlands in 2014 to study songwriting. It was here that he met producer and composer Perquisite and signed to Unexpected Records. His debut EP “Brave Enough” was released in 2016, followed by debut album in 2017. Last year he released his second album “Horizon”.

Jeangu’s Eurovision entry “Grow” is written by Jeangu Macrooy and Perquisite. As the host country, The Netherlands has already guaranteed a spot in the final of the contest. However, we will see Jeangu’s performance as part of the first semifinal on May 12th.
