🇳🇱 UPDATED: Eurovision in Concert Postponed & Amsterdam Calling is Canceled

Updated: The organisers of Eurovision in Concert has confirmed that due to Government restrictions, the event will not proceed on the 4th April, you are able to read their statement below:

The organisers of Eurovision in Concert has released a statement in regards to this year’s Eurovision in Concert. In addition to this, OGAE NL has announced that Amsterdam Calling will not proceed.

OGAE NL announced the cancellation of ‘Amsterdam Calling’ 2020 via their website and will release further information about the complications of this at a later date.

Government restrictions currently in place

Health Minister Bruno Bruins has announced that all measures, which were set until 31st March, have been extended to 6th April. This has meant that all gatherings of 100+ people have been forbidden.

In regards to Eurovision, which is taking place in May, we have reported that preparations for the contest is still ongoing.

London Eurovision Party currently planned to proceed

The other remaining Eurovision 2020 preview party that is scheduled to take place ahead of the contest in Rotterdam is the London Eurovision Party. The event is due to take place on March 29. The organisers of the London Eurovision Party has released a statement in regards to the event.

It remains to be seen whether this event will be affected by governmental measures implemented to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.

  1. Interesting the organisers of LEP 2020 have gone very silent and not communicating any updated information. Acts are dropping out and NOT being updated either on the website or social media. Guests who have paid several hundred pounds are being kept in the dark… In addition people may not wish to attend now. The health and Safety of guests and staff should be taken into consideration

  2. I agree with Kevin! And WHY are the round 3 of tickets thursday 26 when the situation in Europe is so chaotic and uncertain?! Will the borders even be open in may?
