About MARUV

MARUV known in Ukraine and Russia for hit singles like “Drunk Groove” and “For You,” is best known to us as the winner of Vidbir in February 2019 with “Siren Song.” As the winner, she was supposed to represent Ukraine at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. However, after UA:PBC offered her an overly demanding contract, MARUV did not represent Ukraine, and the country withdrew.

Despite this, her career has continued to flourish. She appeared on Dancing With The Stars and released a number of singles and an EP. Despite her bad experience with the broadcaster, could we see her make her way to the Eurovision stage after all? In the meantime, her influence seems to be inspiring Moldova’s 2021 entry…
