Rehearsal review

Rehearsing right now inside the Rotterdam Ahoy is Samanta Tina performing “The Moon is Rising” for Latvia. We will continue to update this article as each run through takes place, so make sure to keep refreshing for the most up-to-date review!

Samanta is wearing a green gown with fringe and crystal embellishments and is sporting her signature blonde bob. She is joined by 3 dancer all dressed in green and with visor shield. The main colours are green/gold with an occasional purple/pink thrown in.

In the beginning, she is illuminated by green lights with a golden, psychedelic backdrop appearing on the LED screen behind and under her. The backdrop moves outwards in a circle. Under her, there is a circle, almost flower like, made up of hands. Samanta is not moving a lot and the camera shots are unfortunately not too crazy. The dancers are in a spaced apart line next to her and for the drop they are “crowning themselves” with an imaginary crown, similar to the music video. Additional, there are occasional outbursts of gold coming from the center of the stage and moving across the arena. The song ends with Samanta in the middle and the golden hand flower reappearing and the stage getting darker again.

Rehearsal video clip

We will update the article, once the EBU has uploaded the rehearsal video clip on the official Eurovision channel.
