Turin 2022🇧🇬 Bulgaria

Intelligent Music Project will represent Bulgaria in Eurovision 2022 with the song “Intention”

We have breaking news from Bulgaria as BNT have just announced that the previously rumoured Intelligent Music Project will represent the nation in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy. The project will be fronted by Chilean rock singer Ronnie Romero, the lead vocalist of Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow.

Intelligent Music Project’s Eurovision entry will be titled “Intention” with further details regarding the song to be revealed by BNT in early December.

A Eurovision return for Stoyan Yankoulov

Drummer of the project, Stoyan Yankoulov, will also be a familiar name to Eurovision fans after representing Bulgaria twice at the Eurovision Song Contest with Elitsa Todorova. The duo placed fifth in 2007 with “Water” and narrowly missed out on qualification in 2013 with “Samo Shampioni”. Water’s placing was Bulgaria’s highest until Poli Genova broke the top four in 2016 with “If Love Was A Crime”, which was improved upon again a year later with a second place finish Kristian Kostov’s “Beautiful Mess”.

The other four members of Intelligent Music Project are Bisser Ivanov, Ivo Stefanov, Dimiter Sirakov and X Factor Bulgaria winner Slavin Slavchev.
