First up for their first rehearsal is Michael Schulte for Germany. We have just watched their latest run through of You Let Me Walk Alone live on screen and here is our initial reaction.

Staging

Michael begins the performance with minimal stage lighting  He engages with the camera in several close up shots.  LED projection begins at the first chorus and  features hand-drawn illustrations as well as the photos which were sent in from fans. During the second chorus, the LED changes to a series of vector animations in white, black and red – these include several key words from the chorus.  Overall,  a really really good performance with very little things wrong.

Camera shots in this performance: 42

Vocals

Michael is nailing the vocals in each run though, effortlessly hitting the highs and lows.

Costume

He is dressed casually, in a black sweater, dark jeans and white trainers.
