๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ “Verona” voted as Best Non-Qualifier by OGAE Australia

"Hear Me Calling" trails in second

The members of OGAE Australia have been voting on the best Eurovision entry that didn’t qualify for the final. Today, the top 100 of the vote was revealed with Koit Toome & Laura’s “Verona” finishing victorious. The 2017 Estonian entry was a fan favourite pre-contest, but got eliminated in the semi-final, placing 14th.

Prior to their 2017 non-qualifier, both Koit and Laura had competed in the contest before, both for Estonia. In 1998, Koit Toome finished in 12th place with his song “Mere lapsed”. Laura made her Eurovision debut in 2005 with the group Suntribe who also failed to qualify, finishing in 20th place in the semi-final.

Tom Ryan

I'm the youngest member of the team here at ESCXTRA but that doesn't mean I know the least about the contest. You'll usually find me enjoying a Eurovision classic, while discovering new facts about Eurovision history. When I'm not doing that, I'll be somewhere on a dancefloor... still thinking about music!
