Turin 2022🇫🇮 Finland

Recording from UMK22 dress rehearsal will be used as the possible live-on-tape clip

Live-on-tape recordings mandatory in 2022 as well

In today’s press conference the producer of Finland’s national selection UMK, Anssi Autio, revealed that the live-on-tape video for Finland’s Eurovision representative was filmed yesterday during the dress rehearsal for the final of UMK 2022.

Last year OGAE Greece reported that live-on-tape recordings will be used as the back-up at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, in case one or more of the countries can’t travel to Turin or if they get can’t take part in the rehearsals on the Eurovision stage. Last year Australia’s delegation had to use the pre-recorded live performance as their entry due to Australia’s strict travel restrictions and quarantine expenses inhibited Montaigne from travelling to Rotterdam last year. The live-on-tape performances were later shown on YouTube in two special shows.

In today’s press conference Anssi Autio, the producer of Finland’s Eurovision national selection, confirmed that they recorded the possible live-on-tape performance in the dress rehearsal of UMK22 yesterday. Finland will select their Eurovision 2022 representative at the Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu final tonight.
