Rehearsal review

Rehearsing right now inside the Rotterdam Ahoy is Ana Soklič, performing “Amen” for Slovenia. We will continue to update this article as each run through takes place, so make sure to keep refreshing for the most up-to-date review!

Ana stands alone in the middle of the stage in front of a mic stand. It starts very dark with golden highlights. In the chorus the gold explodes into sparks and she starts to walk towards the end of the main stage. During the first runthrough Ana was barefoot and for the second time she wore high heels, although she wasn’t quite confident with them.

For the second chorus, the earth is appearing in golden behind her. She then walks across a small catwalk onto the smaller stage in the middle of the arena. The transparent screen starts dropping down and we get to see landscapes and nature scenes on it. She finishes the song with big golden lights and sparks on the smaller stage. Her vocals were great and she delivered the vocal performance that was expected from her. Clothes-wise, she was wearing a white pant-suit with some sort of a floor-length shoulder cape.
