🇩🇰 Anja Nissen to release new single ‘If We Only Had Tonight’ on July 3

It is Anja's first release for over three years

Denmark’s 2017 Eurovision Song Contest representative Anja Nissen has been laying low since her participation at the contest. But that does not mean she has not been busy. The Australian-Danish songstress has announced that she will be releasing her new single ‘If We Only Had Tonight’ on July 3.

What has Anja been up to since Eurovision?

Since her participation at the Eurovision Song Contest, Anja has been busy studying. Anja attended the Musicians Institute Hollywood, where she studied Music Theory, Composition, Piano, and Recording.

On her biography, Anja has confirmed that she is now working on releasing new music, and will be doing so as an independent artist. It’s also been confirmed that Anja is looking for a new management company, record label, and publisher who “wish to share in her vision.”

Before her participation at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, Anja participated at the 2016 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with the song ‘Never Alone‘, which was co-written by Eurovision 2013 winner Emmelie de Forest. Despite being a fan-favorite, Anja managed to place 2nd.

A year later, Anja returned to participate in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix with the song ‘Where I Am’ which Anja co-wrote with Angel Tupai and Michael D’Arcy. Anja won DMGP and represented Denmark in Kyiv, where she placed 20th overall.
