At the moment Italy is one of these countries who have not confirmed yet their participation in Junior Eurovision 2020 in Warsaw, Poland.
As far as we know, 13 countries have already decided to join Junior Eurovision 2020. However, Italy seems to be not certain about it this year.
According to Eurovoix.com, Italian broadcaster RAI has confirmed they are still yet to decide whether they are going to take part in Junior Eurovision. This year the event is to be held on November 29 in Warsaw, Poland.
Italy at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Italy made a glorious debut at the Junior Eurovision in 2014. That year Vincenzo Cantiello represented his country with a song “Tu primo grande amore” and came first.
In 2015 Italy selected Chiara and Martina Scarpari with a song “Viva”, however, the twins came only 16th that year. Nevertheless, Italy did not quit but selected Fiamma Boccia with a song “Cara Mamma” in 2016. That was quite a success: Fiamma came third.
Next Italian representatives on Junior Eurovision were Maria Iside Fiore singing “Scelgo (My Choice)” in 2017 and Melissa & Marco singing “What Is Love” in 2018.
Last year RAI selected Marta Viola to take part in Junior Eurovision with a song “La voce della terra”, who came 7th. The broadcaster also saw the boost of viewing audience for the contest since 2016.
