🇸🇪 Dotter releases new single ‘Jealous’

The big follow up to 'Little Tot'

Fresh for your weekend playlists, one of Melodifestivalen‘s leading talents is back with a brand new single! Dotter follows up ‘Little Tot’, with a change in music direction in the chart ready anthem, ‘Jealous’.

Dotter is ready to make you ‘Jealous’

It has been a long five months waiting for Dotter to follow up another impressive Melodifestivalen showing in ‘Little Tot’. Now she’s back and bigger and better than ever! Showing another side of her musical personality, here Dotter explores what it’s like to be the jealous spurned lover. Although rather than being bitter about it, instead she’s taking notes from the chilled out, guitar lead, electronic beats and is accepting of the emotions she’s feeling and the situation. Co-written with partner and music maestro behind her Melfest entries, Dino Medanhodzic; the familiar catchy Dotter hook makes sure you would regret making her jealous in this cathartic Summer anthem.

Meanwhile Dotter is back on the road again with a Summer tour. Today she is performing in The WorldPride Eurovision Party 2021 in Kastrup, Denmark. However, tickets are still available for more events later in the year and can be purchased officially here.

Dotter in Melodifestivalen

Back in 2017 Johanna Maria Jansson also known as Dotter made her Melodifestivalen debut. However she was not front and centre stage just yet. Instead she was the co-writer of Mariette’s third participation with ‘A Million Years‘. They would go on to finish fourth in the final. Then in 2018 Dotter returned to make her debut as a solo artist in her own right. Despite ‘Cry’ being a fan favourite, the dark pop ballad was eliminated in sixth place in the semi-finals.

In 2019 Dotter returned to songwriting with the Schlager anthem ‘Victorious‘ for Lina Hedlund. Although it didn’t quite live up to the name, it came a respectable 11th place in the final. Last year saw the talented singer make her comeback to the stage. Again tipped to win with its stirring message, ‘Bulletproof’ only missed out on victory by one point to ‘Move’ by The Mamas. The closest winning margin in Melodifestivalen since 2014.

Earlier this year Dotter returned once more with pop anthem ‘Little Tot’. Going direkt til finalen, but this time finishing in 4th place with 105 points. Which made her the highest placing solo female artist two years in a row.
