🇫🇮 Finland to select their 2021 Eurovision entry on February 20

Submissions for UMK21 are now open!

With the start of the Eurovision New Year, some participating countries have now opened the submissions to find their 2021 Eurovision entry. In this instance, Finland is one of the countries to have done this.

To mark the occasion, YLE has revealed that UMK21 will be taking place earlier next year in February. The competition will once again in Tampere.

As we have previously reported, the submissions for UMK21 is now open, and will be closing at midnight on the 7th September. If you are interested in submitting an entry, you can do so by clicking right here.

Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest

In 2020, Aksel won this year’s edition of ‘UMK’ with his song ‘Looking Back’ which was written by Joonas Angeria, Whitney Phillips, Connor McDonough, Riley McDonough, and Toby McDonough, and was set to participate in the second half of the second semi-final until its cancellation.

Despite the cancellation of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Aksel has confirmed his intention of submitting a song to the 2021 edition of the competition.
