What’s new this year?

Due to the pandemic the format will be changed to keep each participant safe. The contest will be hosted live from Warsaw in a studio along with the interval acts. However, this time the young artists will perform their songs in a studio in each participating country.

According to Martin Österdahl, the Contest’s Executive Supervisor, such format was set up as sadly, there are still travel restrictions which won’t let gather the contestants in Warsaw. Nevertheless, the JESC team is sure: the show must go on and the young singers should have their chance to shine.

Moreover, all the 13 countries have agreed the similar stage layout and technical set up to ensure the competition fairness for everyone.

Unfortunately, the participants will not be able to meet each other in person this time. However, the JESC digital platforms are here to share the experiences and perform together.
