Who’s that behind the mask? That is something, Sweden will try to find out at Spring in 2021, as Swedish broadcaster TV4 confirms that panel for Masked Singer Sverige. A Swedish edition of the show, which became popular over the recent years.
TV4 has confirmed that 12 well-known people will be singing underneath the mask, representing various figures, compete for the win, which will be hosted by David Hellenius.
Familiar faces joining the Masked Singer Sverige panel
Starting the line-up is Måns Zelmerlöw, the person that gave Sweden their recent win, with his entry ‘Heroes’ at Vienna in 2015. On being selected for the Swedish version of the show, he has mentioned that he loves the UK version (which is aired on ITV)
I absolutely love The Masked Singer in the UK , it will be incredibly fun to sit on the panel of the Swedish version! I also love to hear different people sing and I am an incredibly competitive person, which I feel it will contribute to a lot of tension and a little nervousness

Another member of the panel is Pernilla Wahlgren, the mother of Eurovision 2018 representative Benjamin Ingrosso. She has participated at Melodifestivalen five times (four as a solo artist, and once as a member of Swedish House Wives). Upon her appointment to the panel, she says that she likes the glamour and the humour, and her fascination of the show by watching clips on Youtube.
I long for all the gala, glamor and humor this program will give us! Since I discovered Masked Singer, I have been fascinated by Youtube clips of the incredible costumes, all the secrecy surrounding the performances and the singing voices! Finally, the program will come to Sweden and it will be so much fun and exciting to sit on the panel

Another familiar face joining the panel is Nour El Refai, who has hosted Melodifestivalen twice (2008 and 2014). She has expressed her excitement on being a part of a quirky show and think that the dynamic between herself and the other panellists is perfect.
It feels very exciting to be a part of this quirky and cool program. I think I, Pernilla, Måns and Felix will complement each other perfectly. Looking forward so much to seeing all the masks, hearing them sing and above all to then see who is hiding the mask.

Rounding off the Masked Singer Sverige line-up is Felix Herngren. He is most known for directing and writing the film ‘The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared‘, which has been nominated for ”Academy Award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling’ at the 88th Academy Awards.
Upon joining the panel, he has expressed his excitement and he will “throw myself into this and listen my ears off”
