🇮🇱 Final versions Eden Alene’s songs emerge online, online voting results revealed

Voting for HaShir HaBa L’Eurovizion will begin on January 19th

As previously reported, three songs will be performed by Eden Alene at the Israeli national final, due to take place on January 25th. Having recently been recording the tracks last month, Israeli sites had leaked the top 3. As KAN have revealed the voting breakdown, Eden’s studio versions of the demos have now emerged online.

Having whittled down over 200 submissions to just nine, the public were able to hear nine demos. After 11 days of public voting, the top two with the most votes were automatically qualified. The third song was selected by an expert jury assembled by KAN.

As previously revealed, “La La Love”, “Ue La La” and “Set Me Free” are the three songs that will be competing in the final of Our Song For Eurovision next month (January 25). Two of these were voted by the public, with the third being selected by a jury. The national final versions, recorded by Eden last month, were due to be released on the 18th of January, however, they emerged online yesterday. The selection will be 100% televote.

KAN have also revealed the results of he first round of voting, with the top three accounting for the remaining 45.4% of the online vote:

  • 4th – Shoulders – 12.1%
  • 5th – Spilling Magic – 10.4%
  • 6th – Can’t Stop A Hurricane – 8.9%
  • 7th – Flying – 8.7%
  • 8th – Coming Out – 7.3%
  • 9th – Rise Up Today – 7.2%

Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest

Israel has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 41 times since making its debut in 1973. The country has won the contest four times. (1978, 1979, 1998, 2018), and has hosted the contest three times (1979, 1999 and 2019).

In 2020, Eden Alene was selected to represent Israel at Rotterdam. Another national final took place, which saw ‘Feker Libi’ chosen as their entry. Despite the cancellation of the 2020 contest, it’s been confirmed that Eden will represent Israel at the 2021 contest.
