🇧🇪 Hooverphonic reveals lineup change ahead of Eurovision 2021

A change of line-up has been revealed in Belgium. Hooverphonic has announced a line-up change, with Geike Arnaert rejoining the band once again. The change is ahead of the band’s participation at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest.

‘The right time for a reunion’

Twenty years on, since the release of their third studio album ‘The Magnificent Tree’, it was revealed that the members felt it was the right time to reunite once agin.

Luka expresses her thanks via social media

With the line-up change, Luka Cruysberghs the band’s lead vocalist for Hooverphonic’s 2020 Eurovision participation has expressed her thanks via social media. During her post on Instagram, she has tagged Universal Music Belgium, the record label Hooverphonic is signed to, which could mean we could expect music from her in the future.

Hooverphonic’s Eurovision journey

In 2019, Hooverphonic was announced as the first artist for the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. For the 2020 contest, the band was suppose to represent Belgium with the song ‘Release Me’, and was set to perform 9th in the first semi-final of the compeition.

After the cancellation of the competition, it was revealed that Hooverphonic will represent Belgium at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest. We have previously reported that they are already working on their 2021 entry. However, it is yet to be revealed, when they will be releasing their song for the 2021 contest.
