Rehearsal review

Rehearsing right now inside the Rotterdam Ahoy is Albina, performing “Tick-Tock” for Croatia. We will continue to update this article as each run through takes place, so make sure to keep refreshing for the most up-to-date review!

Albina’s performance has a blue and purple neon light theme. We begin seeing the Croatian star in a futuristic leotard-type outfit whilst being blown by a wind machine. She doesn’t use the main stage at all, beginning her performance on the catwalk and using the transparent LED panel as her backdrop. We see neon lights on this backdrop which Albina interacts with.

During the first verse she is joined by four male dancers, in matching futuristic outfits, and they immediately engage in choreography. As we enter the second verse, we see Albina joined by 4 hologram Albinas which continues the futuristic theme. Afterwards, Albina and her dancers move towards the satellite stage.

Prior to the Croatian-language middle 8, Albina is lifted into the air by her dancers which is filmed during an overhead camera shot, similar to what we saw in Dora. Then, for the final chorus, lyrics appear on the main stage LED backdrop include “Oh nooooo!”, “Tick Tock” and “Dancin'”.

For our next run through, we see the smoke cannon pyrotechnic as well as fireworks for the finale of the performance.

Rehearsal video clip
