🇮🇱 KAN reveal landslide win for Set Me Free in public voting

According to the broadcaster, Set Me Free won with over 70% of the vote

Last night, we saw “Set Me Free” be revealed as Eden Alene’s entry for Eurovision 2021. The song beat out “La La Love” and “Ue La La” in a three-way, 100% public voting process. Now, the broadcaster has revealed that Set Me Free won by a landslide.

Via their official Facebook page, KAN have revealed the voting breakdown from the public voting for HaShir HaBa L’Eurovizion. They also revealed that a total of 43,461 votes were received across the two voting windows.

Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest

Israel has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 41 times since making its debut in 1973. The country has won the contest four times. (1978, 1979, 1998, 2018), and has hosted the contest three times (1979, 1999 and 2019).

In 2020, Eden Alene was selected to represent Israel at Rotterdam. Another national final took place, which saw ‘Feker Libi’ chosen as their entry. Despite the cancellation of the 2020 contest, it’s been confirmed that Eden will represent Israel at the 2021 contest with the song Set Me Free.
