We talk to the reigning champions of Melodifestivalen

In the lead up to Melodifestivalen 2021, we had a chance to speak to the upcoming participants taking part in this year’s competition. This time, we were able to speak to the reigning champions of Melodifestivalen; The Mamas. They will be competing in this year’s competition with the song ‘In The Middle’.

During our interview, we managed to speak to the ladies about their experience competing in Melodifestivalen 2020, and how they took John just told them to enjoy the experience. In addition, The Mamas revealed that they were emotional when they found out that the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest was cancelled.

Speaking about the decision to return to the competition after winning it in 2020, they mentioned how the song is really personal to them, and it touches the heart, which made them decide to participate once again.

In addition to talking about Melodifestivalen, we also talked about future music releases. So far, they have released 2 EP’s (Tomorrow is Waiting & All I Want for December), which features a mixture of both tracks as a trio, as well as each of them having a solo track. They have mentioned how the creation of these tracks helped them grow, and very therapeutic.

The Mamas has revealed that they are working on new music, and that fans should stay tuned.
