๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ Erika Vikman to perform the opening number of UMK21 with Antti Tuisku

The Finnish broadcaster Yle has confirmed that UMK20 runner-up Erika Vikman will perform the opening number of UMK21 together with the host Antti Tuisku.

Since finishing second at Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2020, Erika Vikman released “Syntisten pรถytรค”, which like her UMK20 entry “Cicciolina”, became a huge hit in Finland. Recently Erika was nominated at the Finnish Emma Awards on the categories Song of the Year (with “Syntisten pรถytรค”) and Finnish Artist or Band of the Year, which is decided by the Finnish public.

Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2021

Earlier this month Yle also confirmed the running order for the final of UMK21, Finland’s national selection for Eurovision Song Contest 2021.

The tenth edition of Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu will take place on February 20 at 20:00 CET. Seven artists will compete and the Finnish public together with international juries will choose Finlandโ€™s representative for Eurovision Song Contest 2021. The televote will have more power this year than previously. Juries will only give out 25 percent of the points.

Mikko Silvennoinen will serve as the Finnish commentator of the show while Katri Norrlin and Jani Kareinen will be the English commentators.
