Just moments ago, Marco Mengoni was announced as the winner of Best European Act at the 2015 MTV Europe Music Awards which is currently taking place in Milan, Italy.
Marco had stiff competition from regional winners across Europe which included artists such as Romania’s Inna, Eliad, Mband from France, The UK’s Little Mix and fellow Eurovision champion Lena.
After competing at the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest with ‘L’essenziale’ and finishing a respectable 7th place, Marco has since released his third studio album ‘Parole in circolo’ which topped the Italian album chart a week after its release.
