Save Your Kisses For Me

On 28 February, the Eurovision in Concert-organizers announced a new special guest. Every year, they try their best to invite a former Eurovision winner to perform during the pre party, and they have found one again! This year we can expect Brotherhood Of Man in Amsterdam. Do you remember their winning entry?

Throwback to Eurovision 1976

General information

The Eurovision Song Contest of 1976 took place in The Hague, The Netherlands. It marked the 21st edition of the contest. A total of 18 countries made their way to the Dutch city on 3 April. 1957-winner Corry Brokken was the host.

Winning entry

Brotherhood Of Man won the 21st Eurovision Song Contest. They did that with the catchy song and evergreen “Save Your Kisses For Me”. Opening the show apparently brought them a lot of luck, because winning from that starting position is not obvious. In the entire Eurovision history only acts have won that got to open their edition. The United Kingdom received a total of 164 points. The country received seven times 12 points from the countries of Belgium, Israel, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland. After victories in 1967 and 1969, Brotherhood Of Man added a third to the British scoreboard.
