Details about the museum plan

On February 26, Icelandic news website reported that the country’s government has committed a grant to fund the opening of a Eurovision Museum. According to the article, it would be about a fund of about 2 million ISK. After the success of the film, the Icelandic town Húsavík seems like the ideal location for this fun idea. The Icelandic government will develop this project in cooperation with the EBU, Netflix, RÚV and the Húsavík chamber of commerce and tourism. The museum’s managers hope to open the doors officially in May 2021. Then the Eurovision Song Contest will celebrate its 65th edition.
