The Russian national selection show for Eurovision 2021 will start in a couple of hours. However, not everything is really clear about it. Let’s see what we can confirm about it so far!
When do we have the show?
The Russian national selection show will take place tonight, on March 8th, 18:00-19:00 CET (20:00 – 21:00 Moscow time). Channel 1 will broadcast the show live for 1 hour.

What are we going to have there?
Earlier Yuriy Aksyuta, the chief producer of music and entertainment programs on Channel One, came as a guest to the Channel 1 morning show “Доброе утро” (Good morning) and had a little talk with the host about the selection show. Here we provide you with some quotes from this interview.
This year we decided to make the national selection show for several reasons. Earlier we held such shows already and we have some experience. This year we picked a shortlist of participants. I won’t reveal you the names because we want to keep a sort of intrigue. But these are the songs that in Channel One’s opinion are worthy and the most interesting ones to represent Russia at the contest. This year we decided to let our audience decide the choice of the artist and the song. We believe they would pick the right one and won’t make a mistake here.

Are Little Big in?
Sure, Little Big will come to the show. There’s no way they won’t come. Actually, if there was the Eurovision last year, Little Big would probably win based on the audience reaction, YouTube views, streams and many other statistics.

Voting process
Everything is super easy. On March 8 we will present you the entries. Every participant will get their own voting number. The voting will be open once everyone performed. It’s important to note that all the time zones of our country can take part. The results will be revealed by the end of the selection show. Please be active, your votes will decide who is going to represent Russia at the Eurovision this year.

So who else is going to participate?
According to some Instagram coverages, the line-up for tonight will have Manizha, Therr Maitz, and 2Mashi. Also they claim Little Big and Natalia Gordienko, who is representing Moldova this year, are the show guests.
