Georgia at Eurovision Song Contest

Last year, Tornike Kipiani won the Georgian X Factor and got the right to represent Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. His entry for the 2020 contest would have been “Take Me As I Am”. However, as the contest was cancelled, he was selected to represent Georgia in this year’s contest.

Georgia debuted in 2007. Apart from 2009, they have been present in every edition to date. So far, the country has made it to the final 7 times. However, their most recent appearance in the grand final was back in 2016, when Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz qualified to the final with “Midnight Gold”. The country’s best result in the contest so far is 9th, in both 2010 and 2011.
