Denmark confirm Eurovision 2023 participation

Denmark will join the ever-growing list of countries confirmed for Eurovision 2023.

Danish broadcaster Danmarks Radio (DR) has officially confirmed that Denmark will once again return to compete at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, which is set to take place in the United Kingdom.

DR confirms participation

Earlier this week, ESCToday received confirmation from Danish broadcaster, Danmarks Radio (DR) that Denmark will contest Eurovision in the United Kingdom in next year. It is expected that the Scandinavian nation will once again host their national final, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix (DMGP), to choose their 2023 representative, which Denmark has run since 1957. No further details have been revealed about DMGP 2023 at present. Once they do come to light, you can be sure to read more about it here at ESCXTRA.

Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest

Out of 51 total participations, Denmark has won the Eurovision Song Contest three times – in 1963, 2000 and 2013, and placed in the top 3 seven times.

Earlier this year in Turin, pop-rock band Reddi gave us a throwback to the 70s when they represented Denmark with the song “The Show”. They placed 13th in Semi Final 1 with a total of 55 points.
