Måns Zelmerlöw releases “Running Low”

Måns Zelmerlöw may have won Eurovision in Vienna in 2015, but “Heroes” wasn’t his first choice – it was “Running Low”, which was officially released on 16 June 2023, eight years later.

After coming third in Melodifestivalen in 2007 and fourth in 2009, Måns decided to retry in 2015 with the song “Running Low”, as he revealed on his Instagram. However, when presented with “Heroes”, he changed his mind. A decision he surely won’t regret, as it gave Sweden their sixth Eurovision victory with a score of 365 points.

Eight years later, his original song for Melodifestivalen 2015 has finally been released, and it brings back the classic Måns Zelmerlöw sound that Europe fell in love with in Vienna. The song is written by Måns along with Gavin Jones, Mattias Frändå, Oliver Lundström and Johan Asgårde, produced by Peter Kvint, and played by Måns’ band, The Agreement. In advance of the song release, Måns and his band have already performed “Running Low” at their concerts in March and April of this year.
