🇸🇪 Loreen releases new single ‘Sötvattentårar’

Releasing her first ever original single in Swedish, Eurovision 2012 winner Loreen is back with ‘Sötvattentårar’.

More songs in Swedish to come?

Translated to ‘Freshwater Tears’, the song tells you that “there is something beautiful about crying and going through tough periods”. Following her appearances on Så Mycket Bättre, Loreen realised that writing songs in Swedish allows her to be more direct with her listeners.

Moreover, ‘Sötvattentårar’ is something that a lot of people can relate to. In the lyrics, Loreen describes the feeling of frustration when you think you’re not good enough. Despite that, she aims to give hope in saying that things will get better.

Part of the lyrics read:

It will get better

Because it’s just freshwater tears

So dare to feel

It may hurt but I promise

It will get better

Because it’s just freshwater tears

‘Sötvattentårar’ has been written by Loreen, Petter Tarland and Niclas Carson. The new single is part of an upcoming album or EP that is expected to be released later this year. Listen to it on your preferred platform here:
