Eurovision.tv have announced details of two online Eurovision shows coming to the official Eurovision YouTube channel. The first is a backstage series and second the return of Eurovision Song Celebration. Krista Siegfrids will host both of the shows.
Krista Siegfrids partcipated in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest, representing Finland with the song ‘Marry Me’. She has since featured at many Eurovision related events, including hosting and commentating Eurovision content for Finnish broadcaster YLE.
The singer will host an exclusive backstage series, Krista Calling, covering all the backstage action from the red carpet to the Rotterdam Ahoy. The show will feature on the official Eurovision YouTube channel in May.
Eurovision Song Celebration: Live-On-Tape
Krista will also be hosting a second show: the return of Eurovision Song Celebration, which last year saw the streaming of all 41 official videos in place of the cancelled semi-finals.
This year due to the ongoing pandemic, each broadcaster has had to record a live-on-tape performance that can be used if the artist can’t perform on the Rotterdam stage. This could be due to travel restrictions or the need to quarantine on-site.
This year in honour of the hard work each country has put into their ‘live-on-tape’ performances, eurovision.tv will be creating a special program showcasing all 39 of these performances. This will be shown after the contest on Saturday 29 May.
