🇷🇸 Hurricane tease Eurovision staging

Loco Loco will be Loco Loco

The Serbian representatives for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, Hurricane have revealed that their staging will not reflect the 80s styling that of the music video for “Loco Loco”. This is according to Sanja Vučić.

Loco Loco in name. Loco Loco in nature.

Here is what Sanja said to Wiwibloggs about the staging.

We’re not going to mirror anything from the video. There’s going to be new costumes, new scenery — it won’t be the 80s vibe that we portrayed in the video.

They went on to elaborate further about the staging and stated that there will only be the three of them on stage. This is in contrast to the music video that featured a dancer and a model. A possible hint of the choreography was also shared. Here’s what they had to say.

It’s gonna be really crazy on stage

Good thing too given the title of the song, wouldn’t you think!

One, two, three…backing singers c’mon!

Alongside Hurricane, there will be three backing singers. It is currently not known if these backing singers will be off stage or will be part of the playback vocals the acts are now allowed to have for their performances. They are Jelena Pajic, Mladen Lukic and Olga Popovic.

These three have pedigree for not only Serbia but also for neighbours Montenegro. Jelena alomgside Ksenija were part of the backing vocal team for Ksenija’s father Knez for his song “Adio” that represented Montenegro in 2015. She also was Tijana Bogicevic’s backing vocalist in 2017 with “In Too Deep”. Mladen was part of the group “Balkanika” who represented Serbia in 2018 with “Nove Deca” and was Nevena Bozovic’s backing vocalist for “Kruna”. Olga has provided backing vocals for Zeljko Joksimovic in 2004 and 2012.
