🇲🇰 Tamara Todevska drops a new music video for “Sloboda”

On Friday, June 19th, reigning jury winner Tamara Todevska from North Macedonia released a new music video on her official YouTube channel. The video is for her latest single, “Sloboda,” which translates to “Forever.”

She will dance alone!

Tamara harnesses her inner Jana Burčeska in this video, dancing by herself in a large, seemingly abandoned building. She twirls around freely to the catchy beat of her slick, well produced single (I mean it’s a Darko Dimitrov arrangement, we expect nothing less).

Let everything that does not go through the water go, let it go through the water.

Let this be a song about freedom, freedom is in vogue.

Tamara Todevska in Eurovision

Tamara Todevska has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest three times: as a backup vocalist, as a part of a group, and as a soloist. In 2008, she was a member of Tamara, Vrčak, and Adrijan, performing “Let Me Love You.” They placed tenth in the semi, but due to wildcard rules at the time, they did not qualify for the final.

She then was a backing vocalist for her older sister, Tijana Dapčević, when she represented North Macedonia in 2014. Tijana’s song, “To The Sky,” placed 13th in the semifinal, missing out on the final.

In 2019, she represented North Macedonia on her own at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Proud.” Not only did she qualify for the final, she won the jury vote in the final. Because of this, she ultimately placed seventh in the final with 305 points. This is the best placing North Macedonia has ever had in the contest.
